You Lift Me Up

I received an unexpected bit of grace last week. Marsha over at Just Some Thoughts gave me an award I had never even heard of: "You Lift Me Up." She even said nice things about me and my blog.

I have just been keeping my "blog" since April. Marsha was the second person ever to find it (I did an entry called "bookmarks"). I was so excited to get a comment I just about fell off my chair! Needless to say, she "lifts me up, too".

There are so many people I had "met" through the web since then, it's impossible to choose one. So I would like to highlight just a few people who I met relatively early on: Mompriest, over at Seeking Authentic Voice, lj at Wild and Precious (where I first learned about Mary Oliver), MoreCows over at You Really Have to Love Your People, and HotCupLutheran over at Freshly Ground and Freshly Brewed.

Mompriest, I love our poetry discussions, and hope we get back to it soon.

lj, I love your perspective on life and the church, and your humor (also, your Youtubes).

MoreCows, you have the best blog title, and it's true! Your reflections lead me to dig deeply into ministry in my own place.

HotCup, your wit and humor, and your passion for the gospel in its simplicity inspire me.

Diane, I agree with the award giver... and what a beautiful name (I assume it's connecting with the song...?)

Thank you for your powerful and compassionate writing.

mags, I never heard of this award until last week. I assume it is connected with the song, too.

diane, thank you!

Yes, let's have a poetry discussion. I'm about to post another poem, yes another one from "Thirst"...is that OK? I don't think it will usurp the energy for the book club discussion - hopefully it will just feed into it...
