Happy Thanksgiving

A favorite Table Prayer:

O Thou who clothes the lilies,
Who feeds the birds of the sky,
Who leads the lambs to pasture,
And the deer to the waterside,
Who multiplied loaves and fishes,
And changed the water to wine,
Do Thou come to our table as giver
And as our guest to dine. AMEN

If you have a few minutes, share a favorite table prayer.

My friend Bob always says, "Thanks for the grub. Amen." It's not very spiritual sounding but it makes me smile to think of it and him.

I hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

When our children were little we always said, Bless us O Lord and these thy gifts which we are about to recieve in Jesus' name, Amen.

Hope you and your family enjoyed this day.

That is great. Yesterday mine was simple:

Lord, we thank you for your many blessings, most especially the food before us, the hands that prepared it, and the company gather together today.

My father-in-law asked me to say grace, and it was one of many ways he's been quietly very kind to me. That was a special part of the day for me.
