Before .... and After

They say a picture is worth one thousand words.

So here are two recent pictures of Scout. The first taken during her recuperation from her infection:

and the second last Sunday at the dog park.

Can you say "fully recovered?"

Woof!

Yea Scout... I am real glad that you are back at a hunnerd percent. Diane must be a swell and smart guardian to be able to take such good care of you. You're a lucky dog, and very pretty too I might add. I wish you could come and play with me sometime. We'd sure have some fun, I tell you what. Have a fun day buddy.

Love,

Rowan

It is always a freedom moment for the animals when the Elizabethan Collar, aka "the lampshade" comes off. Everyone enjoys it.

Hi, Diane. Thanks for visiting Luminiferous Ether. I see we have things in common ... knitting, loving the book Jacob Have I Loved. Poor Scout having to wear an e-collar. My dog looks like she's plotting revenge when she has to wear one of those. Glad she's better.

Diane, wonderful! I'm so happy for Scout - and you, too.

When my dog, Diana, had a problem with her eye, and she was not to rub it, we tried the collar, but she slipped it off every time. We had to do the best we could without it.

It's great to see Scout so perky and playful.
