...As we come up to Holy Week

  • I was sick on Thursday. I felt better on Friday. On Saturday I woke up feeling worse again. The prognosis did not improve throughout the day. I ended up missing worship today. (The Senior Pastor actually said: don't come.) I missed the palms, the parade, the songs, the live donkey. The senior pastor read my sermon (see below).
  • We have a leaky pipe under our kitchen sink. I discovered it this morning. Tomorrow we must Call The Plumber.
  • Husband thinks he doesn't feel awfully well.
  • Our former governor Jesse Ventura has a new book out, Don't Start the Revolution Without Me. I told husband, and he said, "What? He does have time to bleed now?" (Title of a former book.) Say what you will about our flamboyant, eccentric, ex-wrestler ex-governor: at least our state elected a Third Party Candidate, at least once.
  • I'm almost 51, and I was actually in a store called The Electric Fetus today. Groovy.
  • The dog ate my address book.

A live donkey...that's cool. My colleague over at Our Savior's had a live donkey two years ago. Apparently the donkey had a little stage fright and left a little "gift"
(if you know what I mean)in front of the altar. Hence...no donkey this year.

Anyway...hope you are feeling better soon. Take care.

Hope you are better soon. You need energy for this week.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and praying. I'm hesitating to write details until I know more "facts." Bill is in NM hospital, near you. Major surgery after a helicopter ride.

Diane, prayers for you and hubby for a return to health. Sorry you missed Sunday. My drugs kicked in and I actually made it to preach. I liked my sermon ( which I posted) but I LOVE this. What a beautiful statement! You have a gift.

Hope you are feeling better. Donkey, eh? Brave folks!

we have had a donkey every year for 20 years, I think. there is a farm nearby that provides them, and they provide the handler, as well. so not so brave. (any more)

I think I am feeling better...

Wow...all that and the dog ate your address book, too! Sometimes it doesn't pay to get up in the morning.

Hope you feel well enough to enjoy St.Pat's day. Maybe you won't be doing an Irish jig, but at least you may feel up to a bit of Stout...just a bit, or at the very least some corned beef.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

Man! Sometimes it just sucks doesn't it? I'm so sorry about your bad day. Maybe you should get a Jew to make you some Chicken Soup. It's our people's gift.

I am impressed with the live donkey. WAY WAY cool!

Eric, you can get a bag that goes onto the donkey's rear end and catches the poop. I guess you could get that at a tack shop.

Hope Scout is OK. Poor dear.

Love to all and prayers for everybody's return to 100 percent.
