Winter Sniffles, Sneezes and Good News

Here at Right Next To Canada, it's about zero or so, with windchills of up to 20 to 30 below zero. You have to be from the midwest to fully appreciate the windchill factor. Tonight, we're staying in and ordering hoagies. And sniffling, sneezing, wheezing and coughing.

Both of us have colds. Wednesday night, as I drifted off to sleep, I mumbled, "I have a sore throat." And husband said, "I have a sore throat too." Thursday, I took a couple of hours off of work and took a nap. I'm doing my regimen of: lots of hot tea, aspirin or tylenol-type product, Vicks inhaler and one antihistimine. Plus, a little whining.

On the plus side, Scout has returned to her old self. She appears to have gotten a doggie-virus (so did a couple of others at the boarder's). Now she's back to her old ways -- she even had enough energy to destroy a leather CD case and (thankfully only) one CD. Beethoven for Book Lovers is now history.

So bundle up everyone! Hope you are all warm and cozy tonight!

Hope you feel better soon, and I'm very glad to know that Scout is over her doggie virus!

Dog gets better; humans get sick. I'm happy for Scout and so sorry for you and your husband.

Get well, get well soon.
Get well, get well soon.

My guardian said that green tea can actually keep the cold virus from replicating. Of course, one can only guess where she picked up this bit of human wisdom.

I have a new coat that I've been wearing a lot because it is about 30-40 degrees around here. I am glad that I don't have to brave the hard elements that you and Scout have. But, that hoagie sounds good. I would like to see some snow.

Me and Lindy will woof up some prayers that you feel better and in thanksgiving for Scout's returned vigor. I'd probably be in trouble if I chewed up a CD. I'll just stick to toys.

Love and woofs,

Rowan

Glad Scout is better... and hope you and your hubby are better soon too!

And yikes, I remember those nasty wind chill factors from my North Dakota days...

Hope you are better soon, and hope the tea is decaf so you do nto dehydrate. A sign of Scout's health is she is feeling a little chompy- too bad for Beethoven.

yes, tea is decaf! that's what I always do! my husband drinks coffee, he's having a hard time finding a tea he likes

Diane, on a different subject, I'd love for you to write an essay on mompriest's feminist theology blog. Hope you say yes.

I'm really considering writing, Katherine. I'm worried to say yes because I'm overextended, and I want to start writing for publication too. But I love this idea.

Mom has a cold too so she is all wrapped up in a Bankie. Dad is bringing home Boston Market for dinner.

Mom says Airborne is good too.

And Whining. She Whines a Lot when she is sick.

I send a Cosmic Woof of Love for you to Get Better!!
