Some of you have been wondering about Scout....

She did not go to Paris. She got to go to dogsitter R's house, and play all day every day with a yellow lab named Max. She seemed to have a good time, probably better than if she had gone to Paris. We missed her though, especially when we saw all the dogs in Paris! Scout was very tired when we picked her up Wednesday morning. And R said she didn't know what Max would do without her.

For some reason, she has had better manners on returning home. She comes right in when we call her now. She sits by the door and waits, and does not run away when I open the door, the way she used to. I think she ought to go to the dogsitter's more often.

She apologizes for not putting up a post herself yet, but it's not her fault. It's her lazy Mom's fault.

lazy? I doubt that...jet-lagged maybe and busy re-entering life at home....so glad that Scout has a vacation place of her own! She's definitely happier than she was at the boarders last year....

I like that idea--that Scout has a vacation place of her own!

Oh, so nice to know that Scout had a good time, too! When we went to Alaska we had a dear friend move in to dog-sit Cub and Angus... and I missed them so much that every time I saw a dog I fawned all over it, even if we were out in the rain (there are several pictures of wet me with wet dogs to prove it). They didn't miss us, though. They had a blast.

dogblogger, I know how you feel. I tried to take as many pictures of dogs in Paris as I could, but couldn't get my camera out fast enough.

Such good news .. it's great when our children (and pets) get to have good relationships with others ... helps them grow, just like our experiences with a lot of other adults helps us grow. Yay Scout! Yay mom & dad!

SHe's such a pretty girl.

Rowan is going to Stay and Play while I go to Mexicol. I am hoping it will cause him to apprecuate home life a little more. He'll have a good time though. He's scheduled for a private nature walk and special treats. I'd almost rather stay at the kennel with him! Not kidding all that much either.

Give Scout some pets from me.

That cutie pie Scout! Glad she had such a fine time and is appreciative that you're home. Pets from me and Wonderboy!

Glad to see that Scout enjoyed herself! Our dog is too high-maintenance for a sitter (medications, home-cooked food, etc.) so we haven't quite figured out the perfect vacation yet.

Nice to have a Scout update with pictures. I've said it before, if I were a dog I'd be in love with her.

I'm glad Scout had a good time.

I've only left Smokey for a weekend. I don't know if I'll ever find anyone I trust him with for longer than that. (I would have been such an over-protective mother.)

She's a sweetie. Our girl, Abby, has had some tummy trouble of late. The vet thinks it's a combination of the heat, the recent excessive thunder and lightening, Ray's retirement, and all the boxes around as we get ready for the move to Gettysburg. Her whole world has been turned upside down. She has improved some since yesterday, but still isn't 100%. Best wishes to Scout.

Glad you had such a lovely time in Paris -- what a city!-- and that Scout had fun too. Welcome back (several days late).

It's great that Scout had a good time, while her guardians were cavorting in Paris. I wish we had a sitter who would teach Diana obedience. She's a headstrong girl.
