While at the retreat this afternoon, the intern mentioned to me watching the movie Apocalypse Now for an English Literature class (based, of course loosely on Joseph Conrad's Hear
t of Darkness). And mentioned the classic line: "I love the smell of napalm in the morning." So then I mentioned one of my all-time favorite movie lines, from Some Like it Hot: "Well, nobody's perfect."While I'm on a roll, here are some good lines from classic and not-so-classic movies:
"You may now serve the nuts."
"How could this happen? I was so careful. I picked the wrong play, the wrong director, the wrong cast. Where did I go right?"
"Tell 'em, Raymond." "K-Mart sucks."
"I'll have what she's having."
"Too many notes."
"That's going to leave a mark."
"Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas any more."
"As God is my witness, I'll never go hungry again."
What are some of your all-time favorite movie lines?
