  1. Happy birthday to you! (I'm not sending birthday wishes to the Pope, so I hope you feel suitably honoured!)

  12. Fran, that is an interesting question. I talked to her on the phone, but when I went to the house tonight she wasn't there and nobody knew what I was talking about (and almost nobody spoke English, either). I will try again tomorrow.

  18. Happy Birthday, again, Diane! Wow, just about everybody on the blog seems to be having April birthdays! Mine was last Monday...how do all we Aries get along so well? I thought we were supposed to be hot tempered and competitive? Ok...I'm a little hot tempered, I'll admit it.

  19. I wonder how long it took Dusty to get those little moves she made when she sang down pat? Those were the days...I was kind of young then, but had an older brother that watched American Bandstand all the time, and I'd watch it with him, from what I was told.

  20. Mary Ellen, I did not see Dusty much when she was popular, either, but there's a great new CD by Shelby Lynne, where she covers all these old Dusty songs. "I Only Want to be with YOu", was my favorite, but I also liked "The Look of Love", (but I'm also a Bacharach/DAvid fan.
